A simple overview of what data Disply may collect, why we use it, and what choices you have.

Privacy at a glance
Disply helps small businesses run digital screens. We collect only what we need to answer your questions, run your account, keep your screens working, and protect the service — nothing more. This page explains, in plain language, what data that involves and the choices you have. You stay in control of your account and of whatever content you choose to put on your screens.
Who we are
Disply provides this website and the platform that powers your screens. For your account and the information you give us directly, we decide how that data is handled. For the content you upload to display — images, videos, and messages — you choose what appears, so that content stays your responsibility and we simply store and show it on your instruction. Our full company details and a dedicated privacy contact will be added here before this policy is published.
What we collect
We keep this short and collect only a few kinds of information — never more than we need, and never sensitive personal data:
- Details you give us — your name, email, and message when you request a pilot or get in touch, plus your account and business details if you sign up.
- Content you upload — the images, videos, and messages you choose to display, which are yours to manage and yours to make sure you have the right to use.
- Screen and device data — information needed to pair and monitor your screens, such as device identifiers and status signals.
- Technical data — basic logs and diagnostics that keep the service reliable and secure.
Why we use it
We use your information only for clear, limited purposes:
- Answer your questions — reply to pilot requests and any message you send us.
- Run your account and screens — set up, pair, manage, and monitor the screens you connect.
- Deliver your content — get what you upload to the right screen and keep it playing.
- Power AI design — turn the text you write into a finished layout, which means sending that text to our AI provider.
- Handle billing — manage your subscription and payments once any free pilot ends.
- Keep the service safe and legal — secure accounts, prevent misuse, troubleshoot, and meet accounting and legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal data, and we never share it for anyone else's advertising. We do rely on a few trusted providers to run Disply, and they may only use your data to do work for us:
- Hosting — our infrastructure provider stores your data and runs the service.
- Payments — Stripe processes payments securely; we never see or store full card details.
- AI design — the text you submit for AI layouts is processed by our AI provider (OpenAI).
- Email — our email provider delivers account and service messages.
- Legal and safety — we may disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect people, property, or the service.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we actually need it:
- While you're active — your account, screens, and uploaded content stay as long as your account or pilot is active.
- When you delete something — content you remove is deleted from the service; closing your account removes your data, except what we must keep.
- Contact messages — pilot and contact enquiries are kept only long enough to follow up, then removed.
- Records we must keep — invoices and similar records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Logs — technical logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
You're in control of your personal data. You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, or have it deleted. You can also request a copy to take elsewhere, ask us to limit or stop certain uses, and withdraw any consent you've given. Just email us and we'll help — it's free, and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can. If you ever feel we've mishandled your data, you also have the right to contact your local data protection authority (in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection).
Cookies and analytics
We keep cookies to a minimum. Some are essential — they simply make the site and your account work, so they can't be switched off. If we ever add analytics to understand how the site is used, we'll turn it on only with your agreement and explain clearly what it does. We don't use cookies to follow you around other websites or to sell your data.
How we protect it
We take security seriously and use sensible measures to keep your data safe, such as encrypted connections, limited access, and trusted infrastructure providers. No online service can promise perfect security, but we design Disply to collect little, limit who can reach your data, and reduce risk wherever we can. If something ever does go wrong, we'll act quickly and let you know if it affects you.
